Leesburg, Ohio | Sounds like alot of extra work, risk, time, and un-handiness for not much savings in dollars. I think there's a reason you never see anything on the road or in line at the elevator like you're talking about.
If you really want a cheap hopper trailer, buy one and spend the time you would have spent on your idea, fixing the cheaper trailer in your shop. If you can buy one right with a decent frame, then brakes, tires, wiring, tarp, welding patches, and paint can be a good winter project. That said, it better be cheap to buy to begin with. | |
