lake Michigan shore line/Mason county | I am not a farmer who has rebuilt an engine or two. I made a living building engines for 35 years. I used The A+I kits for many years. Howards In Lynn IN. supply most of the parts for their kits. The quality isnt the same as what they supplied 20 years ago. The gaskets in the set, including the head gaskets dont fit as good as they could. Their quality isnt any worse than any other manufacture I have seen lately. I have not experienced any head gasket failure from their brand. I did have to help some of the holes to line up correctly. This is an issue that I didnt see 5 years ago. If you do some research you will find only a couple of companies supply the parts that other companies put together engine kits from. Same parts, different packaging. Sucks, but most are from over seas. |
