Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana | We built this several years ago. It's a cement slab that has a pile of gravel to tip the wagons (25-30% corn rolls right out) with a three foot deep pit the auger goes in. We formed the pit around a plastic hopper. It has a drain hole in the bottom that has plastic tile running out to an underground gravel bed. sorry I don't have a picture with out the auger in place. It is a little deceiving in the pictures to how deep in the hole the auger is. We shortened the drive shaft (pto) on the auger because the old gear box setting was about a foot off the ground (it is now about six foot off the ground when the auger is not in the pit). You could get buy with a shallower pit, but we also drive trucks over this. I might add here that I liked the bath tub Idea someone suggested.
