Subject: Cat 3406B

Las Vegas

I have a 1992 Ford LTL 9000 with a Caterpillar 3406B motor. It all of a sudden developed a noise in the upper end. I pulled front valve cover today, and found no visible problems. It was very quiet under the cover, had to get close to hear any clicking going on in there. I am looking for ideas as to what it could be. Engine uses no oil, and has been running excellent. No leaks, and no other issues going on.
