Oregon | I can almost feel your pride coming right through the screen. That's awesome! He looks to be doing an excellent job. Nice corner! I'm just as proud of my 13 yr old. He started driving his own tractor on his 7th B-day...which is another fun story for me to tell. This year will be his 4th at helping me with the combining. The hired man of 3 yrs (who didn't grow up on a farm) gets a little perturbed when my son has to straighten him out occasionally. I had that exact same "man, what I would've done to run a machine like that when I was a kid" reflection a couple years ago while my dad and I watched him go by. We are swathing grass seed right now (at night) and this year my son and 17 yr old daughter have been doing all of it since I can no longer safely get in and out of the swather alone. (It'd really be the shxts to be stuck out there at 3:00 AM with a broken section or maybe worse) | |
