You may not plan on going online with it but you may, from time to time, share a thumb drive with other computers that are online. Maintaining a strict air gap is difficult. I imagine Defender is enabled as the default antivirus in Windows 11. It actually works fairly well. Add Malwarebytes and you're safe to surf and can keep everything up to date.
