That's a round 1 3/4" hole, it's not egged out. I can see the slightest deformation or ridge on the bottom of the hole. If it had 1.5" pin, and that's what it came with, then that's what I'd keep using. Doesn't seem right, but there's very little wear there so it's not causing any issue that I can see. Maybe even had a reason to do it that way, keep torque off the cylinder.
