Deep southern Illinois | Have read all posts on here concerning 3412’s, but have not found anyone who’s fixed the issues with the center not feeding around the auger brace, or wrapping. I have the full calmer kit on this head, so have as little trash as possible going in, but still having issues.
At first I had issues with fluff buildup around the center brace, so I tack welded some keystock to the leading edge of the flighting the width of the feederhouse opening. Then it wants to wrap like crazy, so we’ve ground the keystock down to almost gone and it still won’t feed for crap.
I love every other part of this head, so surely someone has figured out a way to fix this issue? It’s on a class 7 New Holland with the 3 stand feeder chain so that might be making it worse? | |
