You really need to find the heater before deciding on wiring and breaker. But 10 killowats / 240 V = about 42 amps, so 50 seems on the light side to me.


Breakers can only take 80% of their rating on a continuous load. 42 amps is 84% of a 50 amp breaker. For a 42 amp load, you need to go to a 60 amp breaker.
