Subject: RE: John Deere Round Baler Question

NW Iowa
Sounds like your starter roll is worn. I have a 567 so it may be different, but the starter roll is a driven roll in the belly of the Baler itself (not in the door) that has grips welded to it. Mine are round rods welded at an angle lengthwise to the roller. The starter roll does not have any belts on it. When the starter roll gets worn, the small amount of material in the Baler at the beginning of a new bale won’t tumble.
As far as your belts, they sound good to me. Save your money.
