I can remember my grandfather coming out to the farm in early March after a meeting with the local coop for inputs. He was livid. Throws his hat and says "that's it, we're gonna grow buckwheat!" He was livid it was going to take $100 per acre to grow a crop of corn. If he only saw what we spend today, let alone another 30 years from now
