Northwest IOWA | This question comes up here on Agtalk every so often.When we got our 1st stainless Tanker- a Polar , I stopped at a AB Welding in Thompson Ia to ask about 3 inch stainless fittings and what to use.The shop foreman there grabbed a tube of Locktite567, and said every big Fertilizer set up they build ,they use it on 1/2 inch plumbing up to 8inch fittings , it's not cheap , $75 for a tube the size of tooth paste , but we ve used it ever since .it's never failed us.AB Welding is now sold out several years ago , is now Precision Tank , and has alot of fittings / valves on hand for large Fuel or Fertilizer tank set ups . | |
