Ours is a hex shaft. It appears that the sprocket teeth are not in line. Going from left to right across the shaft, they adavance about half and inch. (Which is why we think the shaft has somehow gotten twisted.)


The sprockets are almost certainly installed incorrectly. I have never seen a twisted shaft, but have seen lots of them with the key way broken. I have replaced one hex shaft that got bent. You have to line up the teeth and then install.
