| When we originally bought our 42' Krause finisher we pulled it with a 425 hp 4wd and had no issues pulling it @ 7.5- 8 mph on flat to slightly rolling ground. I wouldnt to go with much less hp. The issue I have with our finisher is the shank spacing are too wide (10"). We run 10" sweeps and in certain conditions it will leave a groove behind the last row of shanks. Fi isher has a 5 bar spike harrow. . We did pull a crumbler behind it for a few years but sold the crumbler as we felt it compacted the surface too much, especially on the ends We have a 46' CIH TMII with 5 bar spike harrow we run in bean stubble that I feel leaves a much better seed bed.
