We just had a 24 hour power outage here. For some reason the power company couldn't seem to get there act together on this on. Kept sending messages that power would be on at a certain time and messages saying power has been restored when it wasn't. As far as I could tell damage was just at one location where a tree fell across a line. It was on a stretch where power can be fed around to most services through another line but they never did that. So about 3:30 am I decided I better start getting generators lined our and hooked up. I guess a fellow needs a practice run every so often to remember how everything works and to run those units some. Just glad the electricity is back on now. Makes one realize how much one depends on it. Better off than many as we have backup gas heat that doesn't need electricity and gas cook stove.

We had a bad deal a while back ,record low temps of zero and lower - very unusual in texas .

Those idiots at ERCOT , got death threats and most of them quit ,

Some had fat cat jobs and lived out of state .

How do you work for the texas electric reliability council and not live in texas . ? typical goverment waste and corruption
