SW TX PANHANDLE
The best climate for feeding cattle is here. No humidity, hot in summer but cools off at night. Winter can get cold, but big snow is rare. Pens stay dry 98% of the year. Gain is better due to environment. Also, as long as you’re not a complete idiot, very few environmental regulations. Biggest problem going forward is of course the water situation. Some yards have gather up thousands of acres to insure water. They gonna have to decide if they gonna feed cattle or grow feed, but not going to be able to do both much longer. Same with dairies.
