But if you want the most consistent and predictable thing to put in a bin here, you will gain 40-75 cents of basis storing beans just a few weeks from gut slot of harvest to the end of river traffic when it freezes, or March when it starts again. Corn fluctuates a lot more here, as most of those bushels are consumed locally by feeders/processors and if they are a little short they often give some basis incentive to land trucks on their scales earlier. |
