The less you do on the computer till its taken to a pro the more of your old Stuff may be recovered.
I agree with this. It's worth noting, though, that generally a program is independent from the data created by that program. So a program can be uninstalled, but the data remains. Or the data is deleted, but the program remains. So don't panic (yet).
