Subject: RE: Dry corn to tons of earlage

western iowa,by Denison
here we figure 100 bushel of 33% moisture corn makes 5ton-same corn in corn silage is from 8ton to 10 ton a acre
run a silage chopper enough I know when i'm in 200 bushel corn and know when i hit 300 bushel
best corn i ever chopped was 38 ton silage-but only yield was 348-best earlage-hit 20 ton around 400 bushel acre

20 bu. earlage=1 ton 8bu.=1ton in corn silage
