Subject: RE: Lugol's Iodine….off topic, but speaking of skin grafts!

Interesting. We use tincture of iodine on about anything we don't like skin wise. Seems like it helps and never seen it hurt anything.

When I was a kid doctors didn't seem to like it but mom always had a bottle around and used it on any scrape or cut. I kind of got the idea in my head it was harmful by the doctor attitude. Then many years later learned from a retired pharmacist the reason doctors didn't like it was because of the intense color when mom's used it, the doctor couldn't see the wound condition so good.

Then even years after that we acquired concentrate iodine by the gallon to use in foot baths for our boots when going between barns on our turkey farm.

Been using the tincture type liberally for skin issues ever since. Found out about Lugols type as a supplement while going low carb a couple years ago.
