| That, or is he running a chopping cornhead? 8R30 is about all the chopping head that drive will take - any chopping head larger than that is going to overload the capabilities of that variable speed drive.
I am puzzled by the axle problem as well - very rare to see on a Gleaner axle/final drive which the Challenger uses - there again, though,a large grain tank extension would help explain it, but I've seen Gleaners run close to 450 bushel tank extensions and hold up fine too.
