Where I'm at they will notice when the plates and DOT don't match Illinois doesn't miss anything. The river terminal I frequent now has a dot officer that pulls over trucks all day just to check paperwork and such. He is usually there 2-3 days a week. It's supposedly luck of the draw. I heard he counts so many trucks and then pulls one over.
