If you have the john deere narrow guard cutter bar now I would stick with that. I had the sch system on a gleaned header. It was better than oem but the narrow deere system is better than either sch or oem gleaner. Sch system is a pain if you break bolts off in the cutter bar.
I would add that the guards are not a hardened steel and in time the gap for the sections wears and the cutting edge will get rounded off. |
