Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | This afternoon there was a pop up shower indicated on radar about 15 miles from me. Yellow with a red spot in the middle. Pretty soon the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for it.
I went outside to look. No rain coming down so far. Sun was behind it. Kept checking for the next 1/2 hour to an hour while mowing my grass. It NEVER rained out of it! Nothing ever reached the ground.
So that is how deceiving radars can be. |
