Brown county MN | Gotta agree with the 435 JD recommendation. We bought one as our first round baler, and gotta say, I love it. We pull it with a Case 830 diesel, so maybe 65hp. Could use more hp, but it works. Simple machine, usually making 4x5-5.5 bales, ours has net wrap, which is nice, but the wrap system on these older balers is a bit temperamental at times. Seems ours is prone to rolling up the wrap on a roller when it's extremely dry and particularly dusty, especially with a tail wind. But I still like it.
