Subject: Re: Auto Trak

South Central Kansas, Harper County
Im just about to close a deal on a used JD 4710 sprayer. I have asked the dealer about differant "guidance" options. I think I might go with the new 2600 receiver, but dont know if I will go with just the parallel tracking or go the whole nine yards for the autotrack. He suggested that I go with the universal, so I could move it to my old JD 8770 for planting with my air seeder in the fall. I havent decided, but it makes more since than going with the plumbed in autoguidance. He claims he sold one to a farmer just recently for his 4700 and he says it works excellant! I currantly have an old Outback S unit, I used for planting wheat with last fall, and it works fine, but would really like to upgrade to the auto steer of some type. With the way the wind is blowing and the temps have been climbing of late, my wheat crop is starting to look a little bleak, although the price keeps ascending!
