Ohio | I've had a similar problem before with an FMX monitor. The problem was that the NAV rs232 module was not working properly. The interesting thing that was is that when i connected the diagnostic cable to the DB9 hub from the NAV it started working fine. So we bought a diagnostic cable plugged it in and left it in the tractor.
See atached the diagnostic cable i used, but i think you may use any USB to RS232 adapter.
