Also make sure EZ-Steer basic settings are ok:

Enough weight on steering wheels so that turning wheels also turns the tractor.

Calibration ok especially the direction on the T2 box and connector wires.

Angel per turn: If the foam wheel is getting to be worn out badly this setting might need to be lowered (maybe from 15-16 to 12 -13)

And the voltage to T2 controller! EZ-Guide 500 Systen Status page should show well more than 13V when tractor engine is running.
Steering does not usually take so much current. On my by beet drilling tractor with very light steering the EZ-Steer T2 box takes only 1-1.7 A when online.
T2 box without steering engaged takes only about 0,4 A.

With a more heavy steering T2 box current might go up to 10A (= 12V *10A= 120W)

And the display (CFX-750 on that tractor) takes just about 1,4 A.

But I still had problems a few days ago as the wire from alternator to battery + had a bad connection and turning the cab fan on dropped voltage by 0,9 V

Some years ago I had a bad battery to ground connection on an other tractor causing EZ-Sreer problems.
So wiring the EZ-Steer system directly to battery + and - is also not 100% sure system.
