Subject: Re: kinze vs deere

snowfarmer,

We don't have the pto pump. We have an 8420 JD with the high flow hydrualics. When we ordered the 3660, I thought we might need the two point hitch (having experienced the tongue dragging on the last Kinze) but when the planter was delivered the two point wasn't with it. After looking at it we canceled the two point. Lots of terraces here also. We can go places that we haven't been able to go since the last 6 row 1750 Deere, over terraces across roads over high spots. No draging! We have the Edgevac, Hyd drive and also run a centrifugal Ace pump for fertilizer and have plenty of hyd flow. Never plant over 4 mph. Everyone in the neighborhood knew where the planter was by the howl that the Edgevac made! Thanks for the tip on the keystock for the row cleaners.....will try that for next year...if this one ever gets done.
