Randall V - 5/15/2022 13:50 Not an elm. Second pic looks like a leaflet, not a leaf. Is it possible its a Kentucky coffee tree? They have double compound leaves. Can't tell from the first pic if the leaves are compound or double compound. Basically where a leaf starts there is a bud where it attaches to the woody stem. Anything blades after that, like the second pic, is part of the leaf called a leaflet. Need to know where the leaf starts to ID.


Agreed, hard to tell without better pictures but it looks like a leaflet off a compound leaf. It's more like a locust or any other of those than elm and other single-leaved trees I'd think. But again, hard to tell with just those pics
