You’d really like our scrunched up 38 inch wide rows on tall beds that we furrow irrigate,what that does for us tho is “wet spring ? Who cares water is down in that middle running away from the corn not on the corn, dry outside ? Turn on the pump, what looks good in one area doesn’t play out everywhere, don’t think lot of folks haven’t tried narrows here , they either disappear or go back to what works so well here .

But for here we fight moisture issues, don't have irrigation and want canopy for weed control. . Quite a few pivots of going up on some of these hills and the unfortunate things guys are finding is that the corns outside of their pivots is yielding more than the corn under the pivots. That's what the years pretty adequate moisture lately and I'm sure it's just management learning how to do things.
