I'd think the clinkers would decompose over time in the garden, you're not talking large amounts I'm guessing. Have you tried mixing a little cracked oyster shells (the stuff people feed to chickens to improve their egg shells) in with your shell corn, that's supposed to reduce the amount of clinkers you get. Coal fired power plants added a similar product to their coal mix to reduce clinkers, too.
