One of the good things is variable rate. Either electric drives which is best or hydraulic drives. I have used hydraulic for 5 years. Pops from 75000 to 160000. Our soils i. Northern indiana can be from beach sand to heavy blue clay. 160 on sand 75 on heavy soils. I think mostly seed savings. I can get same yields or better with 75 as 140 on better soils and decent yields on sand if we get rain.
