| For smartbox meters the the main issue is if they have an internal diffuser to reducing pulsing. Blue and red meters were made with internal diffusers. Also as meters wear the hole in the top becomes bigger and uneven, so you need to pay attention to how old they are for accuracy. All rebuilt meters after have internal diffusers in since 2016. Also if you do a lot of acres you may want to turn the meters down after so many acres because if you noticed they always put out more at the end of season due to wear.
PP meters are good but they have no flow sensor so some go back to Samrtbox. The lowest rate PP meter failed to work good with Force Hl so they had to go to the next bigger meter. Bottom line if you use the new low rate stuff you need to use either one.
Again for high concentrated product the issue is the internal diffuser. For years all meters have been used for high concentrate. | |
