Boone & Crockett - 5/6/2022 05:05 Locally here at a large Coop I was quoted .95 lb this week. What’s incredible is they already have fall booking prices. And they are about 5% across the board higher than current pricing. Don’t have the quotes in front of me at the moment, but I remember MAP was $1,110 for fall, and this is prepay besides. Unless something dramatic happens in next six months, for those broadcasting the recommended 1.5 times removal rates of P&K and S, a 200 bushel yield goal will be $400 acre next year.

For a long time, I thought the fertilizer supply chain learned their hard lesson about getting stranded with inventories of overpriced product when the price of corn dive-bombed like a Stuka in 2008.   But then again, that's been long enough ago now that the people in charge might be totally ignorant of how quickly they could be hanging in the breeze if this all implodes....
