Central Illinois | We decided to go with the John Deere 2660VT primarily because the disc angles can be adjusted from 0-12 degrees. We have used it on stalks, bean stubble in the fall and spring and even use it to level chiseled stalk ground in the spring. Works great for incorporating chemical and not getting it too deep. Don't count on it taking out weeds in the spring unless they are very small and you run a pretty aggressive disc angle. It also has a Tru Set option which is nice (when it's working). We had a fair amount of problems with the Tru Set and wouldn't recommend getting one with it IMO. We have a 30' VT and pull it with a 370 horse tractor and are able to run about 10mph. | |
