Temps aren't ideal but if it's a short time, it should limit the effects hopefully. Every year there's a few days like this, at least that's what I keep telling myself! The 3" will be fine, it may drown out a few spots but I'd take 3" over it continuing to not rain. Only thing I'd change is to go with plane instead of ground rig. Wheat's got 9 lives...
