Subject: RE: Trimble headland pattern creation from boundary shape file

Is case this would help someone in the future, it is possible. In order to convert a boundary into a headland pattern and import into SMS, here are the steps I went through-

1. Convert boundary feature in shapefile from polygon to line
2. Convert from multipart line to single part line
3. Add or import additional two point straight line for infill
4. Export as shapefile
5. Edit dbf file format to match Trimble swaths.dbf format. Headland line should have an id of 7 and straight line should have id of 0 and be named Infill. Distance values in dbf did not appear to matter.

I used QGIS for conversions and editing.
