Medicaid/SSI/finacial assistance is all income based and could further reduce patient responisibility. Luckily all the bills are this year so they will only have to cover one deductible. I try to look at the positive side of things and amwhile hitting the insurance max out of pocket of 6-10,000 is expensive, it us still cheaper than the 50-100,000 couples spend on adoption.
