Fort Collins, CO | Thanks for reading, and the comment. As much as we try to avoid guessing price direction, I think we have to acknowledge the speed and distance of the recent rally. Calling tops is notoriously hard, but given the price action in other commodities and the ongoing planting season, preparing for a correction or consolidation makes sense. High option prices this year have forced us to be less hedged than we'd normally like to be, which, so far, has been a blessing. So, we were glad when we got the opportunity to reduce downside risk Wednesday morning by buying the puts we mentioned in the Weekly Corn Market Update.
