You must mean an 8430 and yes the axle has to be removed or remove the fuel tanks, disconnect all of the lines and wiring, unbolt the engine mounts and roll the front axle and frames ahead as a unit. either way it is a fair amount of work. These tractors were not made to work on which was too bad as it seemed they were always needing something.
