Russia supplies almost all of Brazils fertilizer needs. I believe Brazil has some sanctions on electric motors as I had lunch with two fellow electrical engineers from WEG just last week. One of my customer's that I provide WEG motors to has a large presence in Russia for their large wood grinders. But while WEG Brazil has several offices in Russia the reps told me that WEG does not export to Russia due to sanctions. Yet Brazil will accept Russian fertilizer. I have to double check as non of this makes any sense. But with the US administration in charge nothing makes sense.
Here is an article from the end of Feb so perhaps the WEG reps were incorrect.
