The others have covered the filter issue well......having said that the 2388 uses the same filteration system as the magnum tractors use and there are no filter issues with them. I would check pressures on the electric transfer pump, then the mechanical supply pump. If either or both are getting weak the symptoms will be the same as pluged filters.
