SE MI | Made 29K last year on calls. Not a huge profit but came out on top. Currently waiting for $1-1.50 profit on this year's calls on corn and soybean. I only purchased them to protect early new crop sales that I sold low. I have lost my premium in the past when the market went lower or the market stayed within a small trade range all the way to expiration. I have been kicking myself for not buying 20k bushels of $7 july wheat calls that should have been purchased for .30 cents, they are now at 4.295. It is very expensive right now to buy options. Volatility at all time highs. The next plan will be buying puts. I'm just not sure when that will be yet.
