That particular infection is an easy one. Had a computer in the shop last weekend with that very one, only they were running XP. They had taken it to another tech and he gave up on it, so all of a sudden I wasn't too expensive to fix their machine. Vista includes a program called Windows Defender. It needs to be turned on, the definitions updated, and then run a scan. The Defender is also available as a free download for legit copies of XP. Download, install, update definitions, scan, and clean.

It works surprisingly well.
