Had that happen when I went custom cutting during college. Boss took a little air powered disk cutter and cut the antler down below the tire lug about a 1/2" from where it went in and it ran there the rest of the summer. It did have a very slow leak, think we had to air the tire up about once a week when the header began to sag on that side. He said it wasn't the first time he had that happen in nearly 50 years of custom cutting, and said if you give it a little tug and it does not come out cut it off and keep going.
