I've been running prescription seeding for two years and this year prescription side dress 28% with a raven 440. I almost always throttle down and gear up to save fuel. I just found out that if you run the throttle at reduced rpm's the rates won't change correctly. At reduced rpm's, the rate would never match the target unless I would find a certain gear. I would think that the rate would change based on the rate recorded, but it doesn't. It must be tied into the gear selected and the engine speed somehow. Maybe the manual says this but I haven't seen it. I had deere out here a few years ago trying to figure out why my seeding rates wouldn't change properly. They never did solve the problem. Has anyone else dealt with this? Is there a setting somewhere to change how greenstar adjust the rates? Thanks |
