Windom, MN
We run a 12/23 JD vac with a 1988 7120. It's not perfect, but it does work. I stop on the ends to lift the planter, and have the return line into the case, but it does work. I'd go with the vac planter, because someday you will update tractors. We've been running like this for 9 years now, and the only bad thing that has happened is the pump went out this year on the tractor (but I don't blame the planter, this tractor is always running some type of hydraulic pump). The gauge on the planter says we're getting about 18 inches of vac pressure, and would like to get more, so the mechanic said he is going to put bigger fittings on to help with the hydraulic flow, so maybe we'll be able to get more out of this thing, I guess we'll have to wait till next year to find out.

This planter has 2 vacs as well.
