it is put in with a lock strip , put glass in and use a special tool to put lock strip in , use dish soap to lube window and rubber , NOT OIL , oil is hard to clean off .
go to autosupply store and get a plastic windshield bone , and a screwdriver handle lock strip tool , if they dont know what the tool is ,tell them it is for a 1986 chevy rear window rubber gasket.
yes it is a reasonable DIY project , do it on a good warm day ,put tractor outside .
some tractor windows are put in with rubber gaskets that fold over each other ,if you have that its easier still , if you have the lock strip type it will have a little strip about 1/2" wide that pulls out of the center. |
