I always looked at it as a temporary measure and they were usually more like 25-40% tread. Never gave more than $50 for one. I go to farmers that have some takeoffs lying against a fencerow somewhere. Strangely all the ones I bought were original Good Year DynaTorques. I think I bought 7 since 2006. I did the same as you, limp by on used ones until times are better. I think tires will come down slowly. They have been real behind the last few years and have been able to charge what they want for new ones, that will change at some point. You're smart to not buy new ones right now. |
